The Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji was invited to attend the UN International Youth Day function held at the Central Cuisine on the 13th of August 2020 that was organized by: University of the South Pacific Student Association (USPSA), International Association of Youth and Student for Peace & University of the South Pacific Indo-Student Association (USPISA).

Also the main event of the program included Oratory speeches from 12 youths from different USP Campuses as well as two high school students on the topic of “Youth Engagement for Global Action”.
Each spoke on different ways youths can be influencers for global action; the gist being that the action or ability starts from the individual. We need to be the change we wish to see in the world! It was an empowering event to see youth passionately expressing their views on topics such as climate change, volunteerism, importance of agriculture, integrity.
